Phenbiox was founded within the Industrial Chemistry and Materials Department of Bologna University. Some researchers of the Industrial Biochemistry Group with large experiences in the fields of the research and the industrialization of biotechnological processes, decided to apply their knowledge to create a high tech enterprise to produce and sell a new generation of natural active principles. The technical and scientific competences that characterize Phenbiox lead to a high flexibility in researching and developing novel products to satisfy all the different needs of cosmetic market. Phenbiox brought to market two patents developed within the Department of Industrial Technology and Materials, University of Bologna. Our patented Bioliquefaction Technology is based on a rational uses of enzymatic biocatalyzers in order to perform bespoke treatments to hydrolyze the plant structures. Thanks to this technologies it is possible to recover the whole plant phytocomplex in a bioavailable form using just water as solvent. These technologies allow to formulate extremely safe and effective cosmetic products containing the complete bio-active mix of molecules, in the original mutual concentration, of the desired plant.
